A Category Challenge is a timed run on one themed slice of the atlas: a single country, a whole continent, the world's great rivers, the ancient world. 10 places against the clock, scored exactly like the Daily Challenge and re-computed on our servers from your raw pins. Unlike the daily you can replay as much as you like: each pack keeps a leaderboard of every player's best.

How scoring works
Each place earns distance points (closer is better, on an exponential curve) plus a speed bonus, with the same size handicap on feature packs (rivers, seas, deserts) that the campaign uses: a pin anywhere on the water counts, but the giants pay less. Scores are recomputed server-side so a pack's board can't be gamed.
