Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Miles Off (the "game" or "service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site.

Description of Service

Miles Off is a free-to-play geography guessing game. A premium subscription may be available that unlocks additional features, as described on the site. The game is provided on an "as is" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

User Conduct

By using Miles Off, you agree not to:

• Cheat or attempt to manipulate leaderboard scores by any means
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to play the game or submit scores
• Reverse-engineer, extract, or reproduce the game's location data or question pools
• Use display names on the leaderboard that are offensive, misleading, or intended to harass other players
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the game's backend or another user's account

We reserve the right to remove leaderboard entries, reset scores, and suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these rules, without notice.

Accounts

Leaderboard features require creating an account via our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

You may delete your account at any time. Contact us at the email on our Contact page to request full account and data deletion.

Premium Subscriptions

Premium features are available via a recurring subscription at the prices displayed on the site at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features until then.

Refunds are not guaranteed but are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at the email on our Contact page and we will review your request.

Intellectual Property

Miles Off, including its game design, scoring system, visual design, and source code, is the property of its developer. All rights reserved.

Map tiles are provided by OpenFreeMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). Geographic feature data used in feature rounds (rivers, lakes, deserts, mountain ranges) is derived from Natural Earth and is in the public domain.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Miles Off or its assets without explicit written permission.

Disclaimers

The game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that any particular feature will remain available.

Geographic data (place locations, feature boundaries, names) may contain inaccuracies. Miles Off is an entertainment product, not a reference tool. Don't navigate by it.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Miles Off and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the game, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the game shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $10 USD if you have not paid us anything).

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Miles Off after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
